NEW YORK—A little over a year after establishing a presence in New York City, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New York Properties reports it has merged with Manhattan-based RP Miller Realty Group, led by veteran residential broker Reba Miller.
The RP Miller team, led by Miller, is comprised of Susan Rubell, Lee M. Frankel, Vanessa Spenuzza, Michelle Miller, Julia Cole and Executive Assistant Shelley Sussman. The RP Miller Team will immediately integrate into Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New York Properties, which opened its doors at 590 Madison Ave. one year ago, the brokerage firm reports.
In January 2017 Berkshire Hathaway announced the launch of its New York City operations and reported that its New York City operations would be headed by real estate veteran Ellie Johnson, who for nearly 11 years at Sotheby’s International Realty managed the network’s Upper East Side New York office as a senior vice president/brokerage manager. Prior to her time at Sotheby’s Johnson was the Principal Broker Owner of Executive Brokers, LLC in New York City for four years. Johnson now serves as president of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New York Properties.
Miller brings to Berkshire Hathaway more than $81 million in exclusive listings, including exclusive representation of The Revere at 400 East 54th St.
“We are extremely pleased to welcome Reba Miller and her team to Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New York Properties,” said Candace Adams, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway New England Properties, Westchester Properties and New York Properties. “Their excellent reputation, alignment with our core values, and extensive knowledge of the Manhattan market has made RP Miller Realty Group one of the premier agencies in New York City. This partnership further demonstrates our commitment to adding only the most respected agents to the New York Properties team.”
Miller has become a fixture in Manhattan real estate with more than 30 years of expertise and more than $1 billion worth of sales. She has been an active Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) member, serving on the community Board of Directors and the Ethics Committees, and achieving accolades like the Sales Deal of the Year in 2017, Rental Deal of the Year in 2016 and the Henry Foster Award for Lifetime Achievement in 2014.
“After more than 30 years of independent New York City real estate representation, my team and I are thrilled to join Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New York Properties,” said Reba Miller. “This partnership will offer tremendous growth and expansion opportunities for the RP Miller Team, while still allowing us to serve our clients with great integrity and professionalism. Over the past year, I have had the opportunity to know the New York Properties team and learn more about the core values behind the company. They have continued to impress me with their ability to make such a large organization feel like a tight-knit family. There was no other firm that I would have considered merging with.”
“We have always known we wanted Reba and her team as part of the New York Properties family,” said Ellie Johnson, president of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New York Properties. “She and her team are perfectly aligned with our company’s culture and core values, and Reba brings another layer of experience and expertise in the Manhattan market that will enhance the services we already provide to our clients. With the RP Miller Team, Key-Ventures Team, Hirsch Commercial Team, and our entire sales force, New York Properties is looking forward to a bright and successful future, and will continue to build our foundation on solid ground.”
