RYE BROOK—In recognition of this emerging sector, Houlihan Lawrence Commercial has announced it has formed a new Food, Beverage & Hospitality Group.
Headed by Richard Tannebaum, the new group assists solo operators, franchisees, chains, restaurant groups, investors and property owners accomplish their real estate goals.
Tannebaum, who has two decades of experience in real estate development, brokerage, land use, and zoning, said the new group will consolidate the work it currently does in the food and beverage sector. “We are taking what we have been doing and pooling our resources to do it bigger and better,” he said. “Food and beverage is the fastest growing retail sector in the Hudson Valley. About 25% of the available space in retail is in the food and beverage category,” he added.
Tannebaum said many of today’s new commercial developments are mixed-use projects with a food and beverage component. “We see this sector as an excellent growth market for our commercial brokerage business,” he said. “Whether you’re looking to open your first juice bar or cafe or expand your growing chain of branded offerings, we have the knowledge and expertise to meet your real estate needs,” he noted.
He said the new group has developed a proprietary app that allow its brokers to sort listings in the food and beverage category. “This is a unique proprietary data driven system that helps find the right location for our clients. It also can help relocate or sell an existing property or food business,” he said.
