WHITE PLAINS—ERA Insite Realty Services of White Plains recently concluded two successful collections for food and warm coats, with all donations going to support local families.
Donations were accepted at the firm’s three offices in White Plains, Thornwood and Bronxville, and were promoted through social media, local events and company communications.
The proceeds of the food drive were delivered to LiftingUp Westchester in White Plains by Lou and Debra Budetti, Broker/Owners of ERA Insite Realty, in time to provide meals and pantry staples to local families in time for the Christmas holidays.
LiftingUp Westchester, formerly known as Grace Church Community Center, runs Grace’s Kitchen, the largest soup kitchen in White Plains, and is the only place where the hungry can regularly get a free meal any weekday and on all holidays. No one is turned away. Grace’s Kitchen feeds between 50 to 140 individuals daily.
The coat drive results were extremely rewarding, with more than 70 coats as well as more than 25 blankets, 20 sweatshirts and other warm clothing donated and delivered to “One Warm Coat” which will distribute them to local families in need, company officials reported.
Kathy Courtney, salesperson with the White Plains office of ERA Insite Realty, coordinated the coat collection. Donations came from agents and members of the community, including 20 new blankets purchased and donated by Dorothy and Henry Oswald of Hawthorne.
“We applaud Kathy for her personal efforts on making the coat drive successful, and thank the community for their generosity,” stated Lou Budetti. “It is an ongoing commitment that our agents have, and we have as a company, to support our local neighbors in the many Westchester communities where we are doing business.”
