LEGISLATIVE AFFAIRS: RPAC is Off to a Running Start

RPAC is off to a running start this year with more than 80 people attending our first event at La Fontana in White Plains. We raised more than $2,000 for RPAC at that event. Our next successful event was held at Dave and Busters where we also had a big turnout. RPAC Chairs Crystal Hawkins Syska and Richard Herska have brought renewed excitement to our RPAC campaign
To date this year, we have had almost 1,100 contributors and have raised more than $98,000. This is a record this early in the RPAC year, which ends December 1st. Our goal this year is $219,177, an obtainable goal when we get the word out about challenges the industry is facing.
An exciting event we are planning this year is a Hudson Valley Wine Tour that will take place at three local wineries. Other local boards have had a lot of success with winery tours and we expect nothing less. We are also looking into a potential cruise and perhaps an event at the Bronx Botanical Gardens. We anticipate doing a Manhattan event later in the year.
The other big component for RPAC fundraising this year is the $250 Broker and office competition where we are asking each Broker of every office to donate $250 in order to help reach our goal.
