WHITE PLAINS—2017 HGAR President Dorothy Botsoe ended her year in office the same way that she started it—offering free networking outreach events to the HGAR membership in Westchester, Putnam, Rockland and Orange counties, as well as the Bronx.

Her 2017 Holiday Networking events began in November at the Mix Cocktail Bar at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in White Plains, followed by Don Coqui in City Island in the Bronx. In December, Botsoe held events at Four Brothers Restaurant in Mahopac and The Brickhouse in Nyack. The finale was held at the same place where Botsoe began her outreach last year—at HGAR’s Goshen office.

Originally launched as a “Tea with the President” campaign, the idea was to encourage more participation in the association, by giving members an opportunity to meet with its president and share their thoughts.

Botsoe created the outreach events because she liked the idea of meeting face-to-face with the membership. “Thank you for the opportunity to serve our membership and let us not forget that this is OUR association,” said Botsoe. “Let’s volunteer to serve with a smile.”

In total, Botsoe held 10 networking events throughout the year, and received a lot of positive feedback. This year, Botsoe will chair HGAR”s RPAC Committee and her goal is to make members more aware of how RPAC benefits Realtors as well as homeowners.
