MAMARONECK—Houzz Inc., the leading platform for home renovation and design, recently announced its selections for Best Of Houzz 2016 in North America, a homeowner-to-homeowner guide to the top home builders, architects, interior designers, landscape pros and other residential remodeling professionals on Houzz from cabinetry or roofing pros to painters.
Murphy Brothers Contracting of Mamaroneck was recognized in the “Design” category. “Anyone building, remodeling or decorating looks to Houzz for the most talented, competent and service-oriented professionals,” said Liza Hausman, vice president of Industry Marketing for Houzz. “We’re delighted to join our community of homeowners and design enthusiasts in recognizing our “Best Of Houzz” professionals around the world.”

Murphy Brothers Contracting, a 37-year-old family owned general contracting business, recently opened a “Remodeling Division” to serve the needs of new and recent area homebuyers. “Not everyone is interested in tearing down their house to start again,” said Michael Murphy, head of New Project Development for Murphy Brothers Contracting, “In many cases, they just need a little more space or an updated kitchen for their growing family”.
The Best Of Houzz is awarded annually in three categories: Design, Customer Service and Photography. Design award winners’ work was the most popular among the more than 35 million monthly users on Houzz.

In addition, on March 8th and 9th, Murphy Brothers Contracting will partner with Gibbons Digital Consultants to host an interactive, hands-on Houzz training presentation for architects, interior designers and contractors. Sessions will run for two hours, during which Houzz experts will work side-by-side with attendees to help create professional profiles on the online community dedicated to architecture, interior design, landscape design and home improvement. Attendees will learn how to maximize their online presence and connect with both local and global professionals and potential clients.
The sessions will be held on March 8th at Mamaroneck Self Storage in Mamaroneck (two sessions) noon and 6 p.m.—each session limited to 25 attendees and on March 9th at Fordham Marble in Stamford, CT (one-session) 6 p.m.—session limited to 50 attendees.
