NYSCAR Conference to be Held on June 8-10

VERONA, NY–The 14th annual “New York State Commercial Real Estate Conference” is to be held June 8th through 10th at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino here.

This year’s event is presented by The Realtors Commercial Alliance consisting of The New York State Commercial Association of Realtors (NYSCAR) along with The Society of Exchange Counselors (SEC) and Certified Commercial Investment Member Institute (CCIM).

The conference is one of the largest of its kind in the Northeast and will provide those attending with an opportunity to network with more than 200 commercial real estate practitioners and service providers. Participants are encouraged to make connections, to gain knowledge in their field and to close deals over the course of the three-day event. 1031 exchange properties will also be made available.

This year’s keynote panel focuses on “Identifying Strategic Partnerships: A Realtors Guide to Community Resources” and will be moderated by Anthony Capece, executive director for the Central District Management Association, Inc. (CDMA). Featured panelists include; Wade Beltramo, General Counsel to the New York State Conference of Mayors and Municipal Officials (NYCOM), William Bingham, Small Business Development Center, Kathleen Bronson, Executive Director of Albany County Land Bank, and Honora Spillane, Economic Development Specialist with the Onondaga County Office of Economic Development. In addition to presentations and marketing sessions, lenders will also be on-hand to help close deals.

Attendees can expect to increase their knowledge of commercial real estate practices and learn about current market trends from leaders in the field. Instructor Jim Wilson, CCIM, SEC, offers a course on how to gain more transactions from real estate marketing sessions. A session on investment marketing moderated by James Wilson, CCIM, SEC, EMS and Chuck Sutherland, SEC, will also be held along with “Tax Strategies for the Commercial Real Estate Professional” presented by professional speaker Maine Shafer. Instructor Joe Larkin, CCIM, SIOR will host “Strategies and the Valuation of Leases from the Landlord Perspective” as well as present a class on the art of negotiating. A  “Comprehensive Due Diligence is Key in Real Estate” class will be  presented by instructor Tim Conley, CCIM, SIOR. A total of 16 hours of New York State continuing education credits will be awarded for select programs.

Registration for the three-day event is being accepted on a “first-come, first-served” basis. Early bird rates (by 5/29) to attend the Conference are $150.00 per attendee for NYSCAR/SEC/CCIM Members or $200.00 for non-members; Regular rate is $175.00 for NYSCAR/SEC/CCIM Members or $225.00 for non-members. The On-site rate is $200 for NYSCAR/SEC/CCIM Members or $250 for non-members.
